7 Best Workouts For Abs – Effective and Proven!

Workouts for abs are done to achieve 8-pack, 6-pack or general ab fitness. Now, who does not want 8-pack ab? Everyone wants it. But it involves a lot of hard work to get 8-pack.

So, you try to settle down for 6-pack. Again, it is equally hard to achieve. In fact, both 8-pack and 6-pack are hard to achieve and hardest to maintain.

So what is the minimum you can settle for? Nothing but a general ab fitness. Though little difficult to attain, many are happy with their general ab fitness. At least, no paunch is seen!

By abs, I would say the upper, center ab and lower ab, the middle & lower back, and the obliques. And remember, you should do the workouts for abs daily, with only Sunday as off day.

Here, I am sharing my best workouts for abs for both men and women. These can be done at the gym as well as at home. The workouts come with reps and sets that I allot to my trainees who are training with me for fat loss, flat abs and fitness.

I would suggest you talk to your trainer who would give you reps and sets that your body would be able to handle and that which would suit you the most.

Please note: The workouts have been kept simple; some will complete within 5 to 7 min; others will take few minutes extra. Remember that you do not have to spend hours for abs workouts, working out rep after rep, set after set.

Quarter Crunches 15

Both leg up (leg raise) 15

Scissor kicks 15

Side crunches 15

Bicycle crunches 15

Complete 1 cycle without any break. Rest for 2 min and carry out 2-3 more cycles in similar fashion.

Plank (on elbow) 45 sec hold

Cable crunches 20
